Your Challenge This Week: Wildlife Photography & Citizen Science

by camerarepair on

For us here in the desert it is already starting to get hot, reeealy hot. Soon it will be too hot for us or the animals to be active outside during the day. So before that happens for our last challenge we want you to take some photos of your local wildlife and share them with us. Next week we will share what we get of the fauna living around us…

What is it? “Project Noah is a tool to explore and document wildlife and a platform to harness the power of citizen scientists everywhere.”Basically you photograph wildlife, upload the images, and share the location. If you don’t know the name never fear, users are there to help you identify the creatures you discover (and you can likewise help others). If you have ever found yourself wanting to photograph more but lack an idea or purpose they have “Missions” in which you can actually make a scientific contribution with your photography. It’s also a great place look at cool pictures of animals. Furthermore, it is a wonderful resource to see the places in your area or in areas you plan to visit that have interesting wildlife to photograph.

If you’ve already forgotten how to submit your images either post them to our Facebook or Tweet at us (@CRISCameraSVC). So find a Mission that suits you this week and end National Photo Month with a bang!
